Women Empowerment: key to social and economic growth

15 Apr, 2019

Women empowerment has become the buzzword today with women working along men in all

spheres. They profess an independent outlook, whether they are living inside their home or working outside. They are increasingly gaining control over their lives and taking their own decisions with regard to their education, career, profession and lifestyle.Women empowerment, in the truest sense, will be achieved only when there is attitudinal change in society with regard to womenfolk, treating them with equality. The rural areas of the country are, by and large, steeped in a feudal and medieval outlook, refusing to grant women equal say in matters of their education, marriage, dress-code social interactions. Every year 8th March is celebrated as Women’s day. The bottom line of celebrating women’s day is due to the wide spread differences in various fields.International women’s Day all about feeling women realize their worth and giving them boost to achieve as per their actual potential. On this day the world unties to appreciate their courage to cross all the hurdles and make such tremendous improvement in all the spheres of life. Besides that, it is the most import thing to be given emphasis is the work that still needs to be done to fill that gap completely that had existed from ages. In la Montessori school, Dunkhra, the girls of class 10th girls performed a wonderful dance on women empowerment, showing the power and respect of women. Manish a student of class 10th gave a speech on respect of women, his words were very encouraging and heart touching. This showed the overall development of students. The creative minds of students as well as teachers had made the school one of the best school in Himachal Pradesh. The Montessorians are proving their ability by such special morning assemblies which are not only by the senior wing but also by the junior wing.
