“RECENT HIGH ALERT IN HIMACHAL’’

Himachal is situated in the shadows of the great Himalayas in the northern part of India .Himachal Pradesh is the land of god and goddess thus , also called “Dev. Bhoomi’’ .Heavy rains lash several areas of Himachal Pradesh on Monday with the weathering issuing “high alert” for Kullu. Warnings have been also issued in Chamba district. The south west monsoon remained aggressive on Sunday, 23 September in Himachal with most of the areas experiencing heavy to extremely heavy rain, causing landslides in some areas and blocking the highways. The water level in the major rivers of the state – the Sutlej, Beas and Yamuna which enter the neighboring states of Punjab and Haryana have also increased .Environmentalist feels that there should be a holistic development another wise there will be this situation of floods continuing hundreds of roads including several national highways have been blocked due to landslides across the state.So in these situation we must choose the safe transport. The tourist town of manali has been cut off from district headquarters kullu and rest of the state after an overflowing Beas river submerged roads on either side of the river after torrential rain during the last 24 hours.
