At this day a great Indian army parade take place which greatly start from the Vijay Chowk and ends at India Gate. Best school of kullu organizing many programe on this day. Prior to its commencing the prime minister lays floral wreath at the Amar Jawan Jyoti a memorial to fallen soldiers at the India Gate .At one end of Raj path which is followed by two minute silence in the memory of fallen soldiers. After the Army parades every state of India show their jhanki displaying their tradition and culture on this day. The jhankiofJammuKashmir,Maharashtra,uttrakhand,Tripura,Punjab,Kerela,lakshdeep,MadhyaPardesh,Karnatka, Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat are shown.Diffrent states show different type of jhankis for e.g. in 2018 Jammu and Kashmir had shown the jhankis of their tradition and culture ,Maharashtra had shown the jhanki of shivaji Maharaj,Uttrakhand had shown the jhanki of their mountain and river. In Tripura had shown the jhanki of their hand painting art in Punjab they shown the jhanki of their Gurudwara ,Karla had shown their kttukacha festival jhanki,Himachal Pradesh had shown their jhanki of key Gompa.This made the children creative minds and inspire the children about social life and culture of the area. The important awards like Ashok Chakra and Kirti Chakra are given by the President before the regiment of the armed forces starts their march past. Children are given the national bravery award. Child who received national bravery award and spectators on colorfully decorated elephant or vehicles. This help in the skilled development of another child to do bravery like the child who get award .This award is especially for child centric.
